The Calm After The Storm

We have been busy at Global Marketing Solutions. We’ve made some changes that will make us a more focused organization. We’ve had new people come on board and we’ve said farewell to some good folks who’ve chosen to go on to other adventures. It’s exciting in the way that making room always is. Allowing space for new plants to take root always produces a better garden.

Some of us have literally had to clear things out after last week’s storms. We are glad that it’s over and we can put it behind us. We hope that those affected will soon see new growth that makes up for the pain they experience now.

Maybe it’s time to stop looking at every natural event as a disaster. Defining ourselves as either victims or survivors may keep us from simply experiencing the event, learning from it and moving on. Now that things have calmed down again, we like the idea of stepping back to see what opportunities come up, what lessons there are to learn and finding the places where new growth takes root.
